She is the author of our blog and the face of MiniMe, but just who is Alice and how did she come to be?
Even at the beginning, before the brand had been formed, Marie Marquet, the founder of MiniMe Paris, imagined there would be a "MiniMe girl." In fact, Alice’s original concept was a little girl with a heart shaped mouth.
In the first collection there was less a specific "MiniMe girl," but a series of girls accompanied by Alice from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland on the cover of the box.
By the following 2015 winter collection, Alice had coalesced into a single girl with straight bangs, a mix of blonde and blue hair, grey violet eyes, a poofy dress, and a bow.
In SS16 the brand’s direction changed drastically and Alice grew up, ostensibly due to her consumption of a small cake with the words “Eat me” marked in currants. However, even as an adult she keeps her curiosity and love of adventure.
While her look changes slightly with each collection, the girl herself continues to be equally inquisitive and fanciful. In Marie's words, "Alice is me."
Today, Alice enjoys drinking mint tea and modeling amazing clothing in her whimsical three story apartment or wherever else her adventures may take her.
